Hailing from the sprawling suburbs surrounding the mountain proud metropolis of Cape Town,
South African band A B Turbo are here to provide a refreshing and unique approach
to the often standardised genres of punk rock and post hardcore.
With fierce passion and intensity, A B Turbo are stirring interest in the live music scene,
and within a month of their first show at Mercury Lounge, they were booked and performed
at the Pro-X Extreme Games at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront along with bands like Taxi Violence and the Plastics, an event attended by thousands of music fans, skate boarders, wake boarders, BMXers and FMX riders.

One month had passed, and the band were asked to open for New Altum at their music video launch at Mercury Live, a big step up from their first performance down stairs.
A B Turbo has most recently been given the opportunity to open for American metalcore giants
Haste The Day, in May 2009.
Currently the band are writing new material and recording at their home studio,
planning for a 2009 release.
