OVERGRAZE LIVE AT ZULA

TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

Overgraze have their roots deeply set in the late ë90ís when Marcus ìNobzî Hounsell and John ìThe Battleî Battersby kicked out some merry tunes for their high school mates. Over the years, their sound developed, creating a formidable duo, soon to be joined by some close mates in the rhythm section. Before long, Overgraze where gigging across the Cape Peninsula, offering their hyped audiences heart-felt melodies with an upbeat crazy dancing vibe.

As time passed, the band enjoy some successful gigs, but the reality of growing up set in and Overgraze went into hiatus; members scattered to all corners of the Earth. Nobz and The Battle, joined at the hip since pre-adolescence, took their sabbatical on the Queenís mudland. During this time, they joined up with long-time rapscallion and fellow schoolmate, the bassman known as Vundu. The grey skies and miserable messages from the aristocracy started the wear the boys thin. So, after some months, the trio returned to mZanzi. Finding the local scene bursting with excitement, the threesome demanded to become a quintet. They were joined by some past collaborators: producer and key-master Dangerous Dane Morkel (the only oke in Claremont to put spinners on his baby blue Toyota Conquest) along with sin-tax enforcer Robin ìSmokeyî Harris on the bang-bangers.

Digging the local vibes, with some international muzak flavor, Overgraze are repackaged, revitalized and ready to take you home (if youíre a lady). Influenced by Bob Dylan to Muse, Dire Straits to Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd to anything else you have pirated on your iPod, you are bound to find something you smaak stukkend.
