TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

Elzahn Rinquest started her music career in 2002 when she was a grade 11 high school student in Cape Town . She started of with a school band called Ivanhoe. She wrote all the music and lyrics for the band's repertoire. With an operation on her vocal chords she had to take a break from the music scene for 6months. After her recovery she started with her solo career called the Elzahn Rinquest Band. She has performed with various artists from the Stellenbosch and Cape Town area.

Elzahn describes herself first and foremost as a songwriter and sees songwriting and spending time on quality songs and music as a high priority. The music made by the band is carefully rehearsed to compliment the songs mixing rock, funk, soul and a hint of jazz. Performing in both English and Afrikaans the Elzahn Rinquest Band is a fresh flavour to the South-African music scene.
